Mary A. DuPont, age 91 of Collegeville, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at her home. Wife of the late John B. DuPont. Born in British Guiana, South America on November 17, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Matilda (Capella) and Anthony DaSilva. Mary has lived in Collegeville for the last 13 years, formerly of Florida where she lived from 1982 to 2000, and Delaware County where she has lived since 1943. She worked for a Cardiologist in Ridley Park, Delaware County and was an active volunteer with Baby Breath of Norristown, Fairview Christian Academy, and when she lived in Florida she volunteered with Hope Community Center and was a member of a Tap Dance group called Rockeretts. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Francis Moore of West Chester, Yvonne DuPont Schultz of Florida and Jacqueline M. Salotti of Collegeville; sons, Mark DuPont of North Carolina and Thomas DuPont. Also Survived By 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren & 5 great great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Ann Pohlig and sons John J. DuPont and Kevin A. DuPont. Her Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, Pa 19426. Clergy: Fr. Michael Pawelko officiating. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. at the Church. Interment will be at a later date.
