Obituary of Frances M. Lawrie

Frances M. Lawrie, of Collegeville, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Shannondell of Lower Providence. She was 84. Born in Utica, N.Y. on August 1, 1929, Frances has lived at Shannondell in Audubon, Pa. since 2008. She was formerly of Mountainside, N.J. Frances was a graduate of Eastman School of Dental Hygiene in Rochester, N.Y. and she worked as a dental hygienist with Dr. Alfred DiFiore of Westfield, N.J. Frances was a member of St. Eleanor's RC Church of Collegeville, Pa. and a former member for over 50 years of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church of Mountainside, N.J. She enjoyed traveling, especially going to Florida and Schroon Lake in New York Adirondack Mountains. She was talented with needle work and crocheting. She is survived by two sons; Mark (Joanne) Lawrie of Half Moon, N.Y. and Mathew (Kathleen) Lawrie of Burlington, N.J.; daughter Nancy (Russell) Esterline of Collegeville, Pa.; a brother, Frank DeFazio of Utica, N.Y.; two sisters, Mary Sciortino of Utica, N.Y. and Jane Mercurio of Skancateles, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. Along with her husband, Robert J. Lawrie, and her parents, Bernard and Rose (Graziano) DeFazio, she was preceded in death by a Brother Dominick DeFazio.  Her memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. from the St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:20 A.M. at the Church. Interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery.
