Obituary of Theresa A. Benson

Theresa A. (Klug) Benson, 92, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Keystone House of Wyndemoor, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 15, 1923. Theresa has been living in Phoenixville, PA formerly of North Cape May, NJ & Philadelphia, PA. While living in Cape May she attended St. John of God Church of Cape May, NJ, where she was also a member of Knights of Columbus. She was a retired Waitress from the Union League of Philadelphia, Pa, where she had worked for over 25 years. Theresa enjoyed working on puzzles, playing Bingo, reading, solving puzzles, cooking, baking, listening to Frank Sinatra, traveling, gambling, going to the beach & watching baseball especially the Philadelphia Phillies. Survivors include her Daughter: Kathleen (& Thomas) Quinn of Phoenixville, PA, and Daughter: Marilyn (& John) MacNamara of Lititz, PA. Grandmother of Thomas Quinn, Jr., Kirsten (& Ari Bank) Quinn, Meghan (& Rob) Swatski, Jon (& Rebecca) MacNamara, and her Great Grand Children Rachel, Jonathan, Aaron, Joshua & Emma, as well as a Great-Great Grand Daughter Ella Grace Miller and a Special Niece Joan Elizabeth Clime. Along with her husband, Walter J. Benson, and parents, Peter Klug and Anna (Lambert), she was preceded in death by a brother Alexander Klug, and a sister Barbara K. Burger. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 12:00 Noon from the Church Of St. Luke & The Epiphany. 330 South 13th Street, Philadelphia, 19107. Clergy: The Rev. Rodger C. Broadley officiating. Friends may call on Sunday afternoon March 15, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton PA. Interment will be private in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Courthouse, NJ.
