Obituary of Eileen S. Cahill

Eileen S. (Pearson) Cahill of Green Lane passed away at home on March 14, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous struggle with dementia. Eileen was born on Feb. 22, 1950, in Norristown, the eldest daughter of Teresa (Burt) and the late William Pearson. She was 65. Eileen had a joyful, gentle spirit, a strong faith, and loved her family dearly. She was a 1968 graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School in Norristown. She drove special needs students to school for the Upper Perkiomen School District for many years and later worked as a receptionist for Cabot Corporation in Boyertown. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schwenksville and, along with her husband, was active in the Respect Life Committee. In addition to her mother, Eileen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert "Pat" Cahill; by her children, Patrick (Audrey) Cahill of Oxford, Donald (Brandy) Cahill of Pennsburg, and Karen Smith (Stacey) of Zionsville. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Garrett, Nora, Aaron, Colleen, Bailey, Dana, Sarah, Kate, Molly and Jack; her brothers, William Pearson (Michaeline) of Palmerton and Richard Pearson (Joan) of Plymouth Meeting; and her sisters, Teresa Pickell (Harvey) of Douglassville and Sue Ellen Ellwanger (Jeff) of Pottstown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass, Friday, March 20, 12 Noon, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 40 Spring Mount Rd., Schwenksville, where friends may call from 10 to 11:45 AM at the church.
