Obituary of Lucia Vincenzi

Lucia Vincenzi, of Norristown, PA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday July 30, 2015. ,with her family by her side. She was 77. Born in Torino, Italy, on August 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Joseph & Maria (DeNigris) Vincenzi. Along with her late sons, Gregory & Joseph, she owned & operated the former Mama Lucia’s Restaurant of Bridgeport, Pa. The restaurant was previously located in Malvern, Pa. & East Norriton, Pa. Lucia emigrated from Italy to the United States in 1976, where she has been a Norristown area resident ever since. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking, and was well known for her meatballs and Gnocchi. She will be missed by many. Survivors include her Daughter: Chiara M. (& Jim) Wicks Norristown PA Granddaughter: Lucia Granddaughter: Karina Granddaughter: Francesca Brother: Tonino Italy Sisters: Joanne & Carmella Norristown She was preceded in death by her sons: Gregory & Joseph Vincenzi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass for Lucia on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1260 Trooper Rd. Trooper, Pa 19403. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:45-9:45 AM at the church. Interment will be private.
