Obituary of Harold F. Cobb

Harold F. Cobb, 87 of Norristown, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Betty (Shannon) Cobb. He was born in Whitpain Township on January 12, 1925, son of the late Sadie (Hellman) and William A. Cobb. Harold was a veteran who served in the Korean War, and was a long time Norristown resident, owning his own local business and was a member of the Fairmont Fire Company. In his retirement years, he enjoyed being a limo driver and especially enjoyed his years driving for MeadowWood Retirement community. He was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed playing cards, reading, and traveling. His family would always count on him for his quick-witted sense of humor. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Donna Lynn (Jeffrey) Davis of West Norriton; son, Kenneth R. (Donna Marie) Cobb of Skippack. Also survived by his grandchildren, Kyle Davis, Stevie Heller, Victoria (Cobb) and Craig Dunham, Kenneth R. Cobb, Jr. and Elizabeth Pollock; and two sisters, Mary Brittain of Washington State and Florence Eisenhart of Lederach, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth & a brother William Cobb. His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday December 26, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. from the Moore & Snear Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton with The Rev. David Cobb officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
