Obituary of John F. Waller

John F. Waller, age 83 years, of Lower Gwynedd, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

John was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 27, 1935, son of the late Victor Leigh and the late Mary "Molly" (Burke) Waller.

He has been living in Lower Gwynedd, PA since 1995, and previously lived in Ft. Washington, PA, Oreland, PA and Havertown, PA.

He was a member of St. Alphonsus RC Church of Maple Glen and St. Brendan the Navigator Church of Avalon, NJ.

He graduated from West Catholic High School in 1953, and Villanova University in 1957. He remained an avid Villanova fan for the rest of his life.

John worked for Chilton Publications until 1985, when he opened and ran his own advertising company Waller Co., Inc. of Fairview Village, PA.

John enjoyed sailing and going to the beach, especially Avalon, NJ, where he spent each summer from 1974 onward.

Known as a real people person, John was never too busy to tell or hear a great story, and his signature laugh was always sure to follow.

He was the beloved husband of the late Anne (Mullahy) Waller.

He is survived by his daughters Jeanne Burns of Yardley, PA, Christine (& Jamie) Rose of Trumbull, CT, and Ellen (& Boyd) Bocklet of Lower Gwynedd, PA.
