Obituary of Bernard J. Murray, III

Bernard J. Murray, III, 63, of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. passed away on October 30, 2015 at Lankenau Hospital. He was born in Norristown, Pa., on February 6, 1952. Bernard has been living in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., since 2002, and was formerly of Norristown and Conshohocken. He was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken, Pa. He graduated from Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. Bernie served in the US Army. He was a member of Plymouth Country Club of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He was an Automobile Dealer and a member of PAA and Philadelphia Auto Dealers Association. He was a very active and generous volunteer through many organizations including Conshohocken Ambucs, where he was a founding member, the Knight of Columbus and the AOH. Bernie was a real sports enthusiast; he owned race horses, enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time with his family as well as he loved to travel. He was the son of the late Bernard J. & Dorothy (Gaul) Murray, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Catherine A. (Gavin) Murrary of Plymouth Meeting, Pa.; son, Bernard J. "BJ" (and Sarah) Murray, IV, of Conshohocken, Pa.; his daughters, Kristen (and Jim) Muth of North Wales, Pa., Dana (and Rob) Olszewski of Conshohocken, Pa., Tracey (and Jim) Harper of Conshohocken, Pa., Brenna Murray of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., and Kara Murray of Plymouth Meeting; brother David (and Mihyung) Murray of Plymouth Meeting; sister, Colleen (and David) Leonard of Conshohocken; and eight grandchildren, Nicholas and Haley Muth, Kayleigh, Tyler, and Brady Olszewski, Emma Murray, Olivia and Remy Harper along with many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:30 AM from the St. Matthew's RC Church Third & Fayette Streets, Conshohocken Clergy: Msgr. Charles Vance officiating. Friends may call on Thursday Evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday, November 6, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street Conshohocken, Pa. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, Pa.
