Obituary of Daniel F. Cantwell, Sr.

Daniel F. Cantwell, Sr., age 96, of Ambler, Pa  passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pa.  Son of the late Thomas and the late Florence ( Buck ) Cantwell.

He was a US Marine Veteran, 6th Marine Division and fought in World War, II at Okinawa and Guadalcanal.

He worked as a salesman in many diverse fields for most of his life and made sure that there was always food on the table and a roof over his family's head.

Daniel was husband of the late Dorothy J. ( Leonard ) Cantwell and they were married for over 71 years.

He is survived by their children Daniel (& Judith ) Cantwell, Jr. of Tower Lakes, Ill, Kathleen Cantwell of Huntingdon Valley, Pa, Mary Ellen (& Robert) Morway of East Norriton, Pa, Dennis (& Eric Morrow) Cantwell of North Wales, Pa. Also survived by his grandchildren Kelly (& Brad) Burke & Daniel Cantwell as well as 2 great granddaughters Charlotte Burke & Violet Burke.

There will be a visitation before the mass on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at  St. Joseph RC Church, 16 South Spring Garden Street, Ambler, Pa 19002.

His Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph RC Church. 

Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pa at 1:00 PM.
