Merrit has been Living in Blue Bell, Pa formerly of Plymouth Meeting, Pa 1940 Graduate of Conshohocken High School, then he attended Villanova University, Penn State University and Drexel University He was a retired Manager from the former Kaiser Refractories, after retiring he voluntered with VITA Volunteer Income Tax Association Merrit was F & AM with Lodge #190 Charity Lodge and also a member of High Tweleve Former member of Plymouth Twp. & Colonial School Boards and Montgomery County Vo-Tech School Authority Merrit was very active with Harmonville Fire Co and had served as their Treasurer, also a member of Plymouth Lions Club as well as he also voluntered with Plymouth Little League and Plymouth Biddy Basketball
