Our condolences are with your family Jane.
It was always Such a wonderful time every day with John, whether during all of our work events at the NJDEP or while out at a social gathering with co-workers/friends. The smile says it all about him and the life he led as he cared most about those around him and about himself. He will surely be missed her on this planet, completely welcomed though in heaven so he can carry on his good will towards others.

John was a genuinely good man. He helped many people through the years and set a great example for others, not just veterans. Our sincerest condolences to his family.

To Jane, Claudia and the rest of John's family. My heartfelt condolences for your loss.
John truly was a great man and generally nice guy with a strong love for his family. His face would light up when I would ask about Claudia and your latest travels.
I admired his beliefs, how he turned in his assault rifle and said he would cancel his membership in the NRA, if it wasn't already paid for a lifetime, after school shootings. The things he did for veterans was also remarkable. It was like his job in retirement.
John will be truly missed by anyone whoever met him.
One of the nicest and devoted men I have ever met.
RIP John. You will be missed.

I worked with John for many years at the NJDEP. I always new him to be a hard working hard playing guy. Working in the the field with him was always fun. We would bust on each other and he could take as much abuse as he gave.
John you will be missed but not forgotten
Jane my sincerest condolences to you and your family.

I had the good fortune to work with John Caruso at NJDEP, in a field office that lived by the post office’s motto of “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom…”. I recall the day John achieved what was, at the time, the office record for the greatest hydraulic push depth of 104 feet below grade. He took his job seriously but John’s default disposition was jolly. I cant think of him without recalling that smile and joyful gleam in his eye. But its equally true that we shared the “O-factor” in our last names. That’s a way of saying our common Italian heritage obliged him to occasionally say exactly what was on his mind. Which lead to many comical memories I am sure some of his co-workers will recite. Im obliged to say that John stepping up to take the thankless duty of Shop Steward in our office when I finally had to drop it. John Caruso, you were a stand up guy. I miss you already.

Jane and Claudia,
I am so sorry for your loss. John was an awesome person. I remember when I joined Indian Valley Hog how nice of a person he was to me. I also remember when you and John brought Claudia to her first meeting and how much you both were glowing with happiness.
John will truly be missed by all. He was way too young. RIP John. Until we meet again.
