Frances "Pat" Walsh, 91, of East Norriton, PA passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2016 .


She was born in East Falls section of Philadelphia, PA on May 4, 1924.



Pat has been living in East Norriton, Pa for the last 8 years, formerly of Norristown, Pa


She moved to Norristown at a very early age. She graduated from Norristown High School, class of 1943. Where she played Basketball and captained the 1943 Basketball team.


She married Thomas F. Walsh on June 25, 1949. Tom died in March 1980, after being married 31 years


Pat was an avid sports enthusiast she was very competitive and participated in hockey, basketball, & softball for many years. She coached St. Patrick girls' basketball and volleyball teams for quite a few years with much success.


She served in numerous capacities in Region 21 sports organizations


As a member of the Archdiocese Board of Directors where she was awarded the "Julia Forst Memorial Award" for her contribution and dedication for all diocese programs


Recently she was inducted into Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame for the many years she coached


St. Patrick sports which emprise her dedication, true spirit and the role model she became


She was a very active member of St. Patrick Church in all aspects of the many activities and fund raisers'


A Charter member of the original church council, also the women's church guild, great books teachers and assisting with musical productions


She loved to knit, crochet and embroider, and called herself an artist with a needle


Pat had many friends and their activities centered around the Knights of Columbus Council # 772 where she was active with the women's guild

Daughter : Patricia (& James) Myers Bridgeport PA


Daughter : Peggy (& Joe) Maccolini East Norriton PA


Daughter: Kate Walsh East Norriton PA


Grandmother of James Myers, Thomas Myers, & Patrick (& Claire) Myers


Also survived by her Great Grandchildren Tommy, Joey & Sophia



Along with husband and parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Pauline, Mildred, Elizabeth & Charles



Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM


from the St. Patrick's RC Church 714 DeKalb Street, Norristown, Pa 19401


Clergy: Fr. Gus Puleo officiating.



Friends may call on Saturday Morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00AM at the Church



Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA
