Obituary of Joan G. Bloomfield

Joan G. Bloomfield, age 85, of Blue Bell, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Normandy Farms Estates.

She was born in New York City on May 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa (Rosenberger) Egenberger.

Joan has been a resident of Blue Bell for 20 years. In addition to being a military wife and homemaker, prior to her retirement, she owned and operated a Cross Stitch Store. She was active in many guilds including the Embroiders Guild of America, Friends of Counted Cross Stitch and Newcomers Friends. She enjoyed playing bridge, mahjong, and cooking, and she especially loved her cats. She was also a TWA stewardess before marrying.

She was the wife of the late Col. John E. Bloomfield. Survivors include her three daughters, Donna Bloomfield of Santa Cruz, CA, Janet (& William) Hackett of Gardiner, ME, and Carolyn Bloomfield of Oak Ridge, NJ; as well as one grandson, William Hackett.

Along with her husband and parents, Joan was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Wetherwill.

Due to present public health concerns, services will be delayed. The family will hold a gathering for family and friends at Normandy Farms Estates at a later date. Please check this obituary for updated information.

Interment will take place in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
