Obituary of John J. O'Neill
John J. O’Neill, age 88, of Skippack, PA passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Neshaminy Manor of Warrington, PA.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 3, 1931, son of the late James and Margaret (McKenna) O’Neill.
John has been living in Skippack for 10 years, formerly of the Tacony and Mayfair sections of Philadelphia. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Eleanor Parish in Collegeville, and a former member of St. Leo Parish in Tacony and St. Matthew Parish in Mayfair. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 39 in Tacony and also a member of the American Legion William D. Oxley Post 133. John honorably served his country with four years in the Navy.
John is survived by his wife, Bernice Stein-O’Neill of Skippack, and his sister, Sister Madeline O’Neill OP of Columbus, OH.
Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Henfey and Betty Schwar, and brother, James O’Neill.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated privately. Interment will take place in Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.
