To Uncle Jimmy, I love how Aunt Dot cherished your love. You were the core of her strength, and she would call you her rock. She was fulfilled with love in a life with you. Aunt Dot understood your silence and was attracted to your charm. I loved how you took care of each other. She will be watching over you and give you strength to help you through each day. We are keeping thoughts and prayers with you. May your precious memories together give you Comfort and Peace.

My Aunt Dot will always be some of the first and best memories I have of my childhood. No matter how far away we were, she was always a phone call away with a strong heart and a listening ear. When ever we would visit Pa. she would drop everything just to come visit. The lessons she taught me are endless, and one of the greatest lesson was to never be afraid to sit and play with children, from match box cars on the side walk to Polly pocket. Even in my darkest days she would remind me to keep my chin up and look for the good in every situation. Thank you for being in my life, Lona

I will always have a place in my heart for Aunt Dot! I called her Aunt Dot because she always treated me like family from the first time I met her. I loved every visit and enjoyed all the laughter, jokes and just being silly sitting at the kitchen table! Aunt Dot ALWAYS sent me a birthday card even when she was battling her health issues. She always thought of others, never forgetting to ask me about my grandson who was battling the same thing. Through it all, she never lost hope and always had positive things to say! Recently, I would always try and find new jokes that she could take to the nurses when she went to the doctor. She loved joking with them and I am sure they too were amazed at her positivity! I will always have love in my heart for you Aunt Dot!
Hugs and Kisses, Debbie

What I will always remember the most is how much she loved to laugh and have fun. Sometimes all we had to do was look at each other and start laughing, tears would run down our face. Neither one of us knew why, but it was wonderful! We would talk on the phone several times a month catching up, laughing and sharing stories. It was so easy to talk to Dottie. She is more like my sister than an ex-sister in-law. I love her and know how much she loves me. I will have this love in my heart forever. Save a place close to you Dottie in Heaven for me. Love you much and always, Jacqui

Aunt Dot was a strong woman and the matriarch of our family. She had determination and a resolve of what was necessary and needed to be done in many situations, and every time, love was at the center of her decidedness and actions. I respected and loved her greatly. She had a way with words and questions when talking to you. When she would talk to me, I thought I was explaining something to her, but she was actually teaching me. I would watch her in action with others. It was a lot of fun being around her and Uncle Jimmy because she had little sayings, a quick laugh and “ah” that you realized she was always in control. She loved to tell me what I would say when I was a baby, especially if I was sad about something. She would tell me about when she was trying to teach me to say, “Aunt Dot.” I finally said it, “Dot, Dot, Dot, Dot, Dot!” LOL…she loved to tell that story. What I will carry most with me forever is her positivity, smile and hope for the future. She was a joy and my prayer is that she receives the comfort, joy and love in the same way she expressed it to all her loved ones in her heart forever. She gave us her best and her time when we needed it. She made me feel as if I were one of her own children and others as if they were a member of the family. I love you forever Aunt Dot, and we will meet again in Peace, Love and Joy. Until then, I will carry you in my heart and pray to your spirit.

I will truly miss my Aunt Dot, she was not just my Aunt, but a second mother to me. She taught me to laugh, when I went through a rough time in my life, she taught me to be caring, loving, respectful, and to be true to who I am. Aunt Dot always had a smile that would just light up a room and make you happy as soon as you saw her. She would always have a joke and loved to hear new ones. Our card playing with her was always a blast, full of laughter, smiles, and good times. I have truly only had a couple of influential people in my life, my Aunt Dot was at the top of the short list. I know she is enjoying time with my beloved Mom Mom, catching up, telling jokes, sharing news about the family, and of course, playing cards. I miss and love you very much Aunt Dot!

I have so many memories I can't list them . My sister lived a wonderful life ,always positive and hopeful . She loved everybody and kept in touch with them , she loved the telephone . She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and truly felt joy for your birthday or anniversary .Dottie Mae was kind of nutty at times ,we laughed til our sides hurt . which reminds me when I had surgery and was still in the hospital . I was watch a Jerry Lewis movie trying not to laugh because it hurt . Dottie Mae came into the room and asked what was wrong ,all I could say was Jerry Lewis and she said ON is he here ! OMG I lost it and burst out laughing doubled over in pain . I have so many stories pretty much just like this one .During her chemo treatments she would make sure she had a joke to tell the nurses and patients . She compiled these jokes in a book . The book still needs a cover but she did it . Laughter is the best medicine . Over six years fighting cancer with a positive attitude ,love of life and belief in God extended her life longer than expected . I hope I can be that strong and survive this loss ,it's such a huge loss to our family . I'm going to miss my big sister terribly ,but she is no longer suffering the fight is over .

The love between sisters was always evident with you and Aunt Dot. I know you will carry the love and laughter in your heart. My hope is it will bring you comfort and healing. I know she was proud of you...and I have always looked up to you. I carried your graduation picture around with me when I was a little girl. Aunt Dot had an inner joy and wavering strength we can only hope is a family trait! : ) You both are so beautiful, I will always love my Aunts!
