Obituary of Paul David Ondik

Paul David Ondik Jr., 41, most recently of Norristown, PA passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

He was born in Norristown, PA on January 10, 1979, the oldest son of Paul D. and the late Pamela A. ( Fitzgerald ) Ondik.

Spending his very early years in Conshohocken, and raised in St. Augustine Florida, Paul also resided in Havertown and most recently, Norristown, close to his loving family.

He graduated from Haverford High School and attended four years as a Journalist major at Temple University.

Paul proudly served as a Sargent in the 101^st Airborne division of the US Army where he received many commendations and honors including the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.  During his tenure, his photos and stories were published in several major worldwide newspapers, magazines, and periodicals.

After being honorably discharged, Paul traveled the world.  Visiting Europe, the Far East, and the Middle East over a four year period, he always returned home with fascinating stories of his travels to share with his loving family.

Survivors include his Father Paul (& Heather E.) Ondik of West Norriton, Sister Megan (& Adam) Treisner of Eagleville, Brother Michael F. Ondik of Norristown, also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, where his mother was born and raised.

A Catholic Graveside Service and Interment will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery, 200 Matsonford Road, West Conshohocken, PA.
