Obituary of Richard H. Spratt

Richard H. Spratt, 87 of Port Richey, FL, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Windsor Woods Nursing Home in Hudson, FL. Husband of Lillian (Thwaites) Spratt. Born in Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA on February 2, 1925, he was the son of the late Catherine (Kilgore) and Henry Spratt. Mr. Spratt has been living in Port Richey, Fl since 1987, formerly of Plymouth Meeting. He was a World War II Army Veteran served in Normandy Battle of the Bulge, France & Germany. He worked as a Tire Builder and Inspector at B.F.Goodrich. He was a member of the Bill Dixon American Legion of Fort Washington, Pa. In addition to his wife, Lillian, he is survived by his daughters, Catherine Anne (Gerald) Hoffman of Collegeville, Susan Jane Riley of Lafayette Hill, and Barbara Jean (Leo) Holmes of Conshohocken; a sister, Kathleen Perry of Audubon. Also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren . Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two grandsons Richard and Robert DiOttavio; and a brother John A. Spratt. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. from the Moore & Snear Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken. The Rev. Karen Selig will be officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Gulph Christian Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
