Obituary of Joseph Mark Walker

Joseph Mark Walker, age 52, passed away on  Wednesday, September 16, 2020 of a progressive brain disease called addiction.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 11, 1968, the son of Angela  A. (Auerbach) Walker and the late Joseph McCabe Walker.   

His illness was never addressed by the healthcare system.  Rather, he was forced into the criminal justice system.  Countless others like him require treatment, not incarceration.  Addiction is a disease, not a crime.  We must end the stigma.  

Survivors include his mother, Angela A. Walker of Worcester; sister, Laura (& Brian) Walker-Talbot of Woodbury, NJ; and nephew, Whitman Walker-Talbot of Woodbury, NJ.  He is also survived by his girlfriend Maria Wiker of King of Prussia, PA.  

His Mass of Christian Burial and Interment will be held privately.
