John B. Sands, 83, of Pottstown, PA passed away on February 12, 2016 at Manor Care of Pottstown.

He was born in West Virginia on July 23, 1932.

Mr. Sands lived most of his life in Pottstown. He worked as a laborer in a foundry. He was a faithful member of the Second Baptist Church of Pottstown. Mr. Sands loved to sing, enjoyed model trains, and watching TV. He loved his Church and was a quiet, nice, and genuinely good man.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty. Survivors include his loving friends John and Grace Clayton of Pottstown, as well as many dear friends from his Church.

His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Pastor Rowland Anderson of Second Baptist Church will officiate.

Friends may call at the viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:30AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
