Nelson C. Gray
Nelson C. Gray, 70, of Trappe, PA, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020.
He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, on April 26, 1950, the son of the late Arthur N. and the late Ann (Wilkie) Gray.
Nelson has been living in Trappe for the last 13 years, formerly of the Roxborough section of Philadelphia; Tampa, FL; Pottstown, PA; and, he grew up in Levittown, PA.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Nelson worked as a behavioral health counselor with Montgomery County and the State of Pennsylvania. He was a dog lover and enjoyed spending time with his canine companions (Cosmo, Griswold, Deuce, Bolitho, Cooper, Vannah, and Lucy). He was an avid reader, especially of science fiction, throughout his life and enjoyed cooking, camping, and sailing.
He was the husband of Marcia (Trollinger) Smith.
Survivors include wife Marcia; daughter Gretchyn (Troy) Bailey of Lansdale, PA; and son Erik (Kristin) Smith of Deptford, NJ. He is also survived by granddaughters Alexandra, Julianna, Madelyne, and Kathryn.
Nelson's service and interment will be private.
