I had the pleasure of being Gus's nurse when he was in the hospital a few weeks ago. I feel honored to have met him and gotten to know him. When he saw my name, he was excited to share stories of how he used to shop at my Grandfather's store on Moore and High Street and how he wouldn't sell him cigarettes because he was too young. I sat and talked to Gus for some time, and I am deeply saddened by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Caracappa family.
