Obituary of Elsie M. McDermott

Elsie M. McDermott  

Elsie M. ( Fair ) McDermott, 93, of Plymouth Meeting, Pa passed away Monday, April 26, 2021. 

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa on August 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Mark and Helen ( Collins ) Fair.

Elsie has been living in Royersford for the last 3 years, formerly of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. 

She was an accountant in retail until she retired and became a homemaker. 

Elsie also volunteered with Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, Pa. 

She was the wife of Late - Daniel I. McDermott, Jr.

Survivors include, Son Charles Galm of Perkiomenville, Pa, Daughters Dawn Caruano of Plymouth Meeting, Pa, and Sandy Fair of Pa.  Also survived by her grandchildren Danielle (& Joseph) Chillano, Aubrey Caruano, Charlotte (& William ) Moore, Nicole (& DeAndre) Pearson, Melissa St. Germaine, Shawn Gilmore and Chrissy Bocherding and her great grandchildren Alyssa, Melanie, DJ, Joey, Sophia, Evelyn, Lilly, Drew, Kevin, JJ, Dominic, Mackenzie, Eva, Elias and Lana.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Robert Fair, daughter in law Barbara Galm, two grandchildren James Galm and Diane Renee Galm and a great grandson Raymond Joseph Chillano.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM from St. Helena RC Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422, Blue Bell, Pa.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the church. 

Interment will be private in Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
