Obituary of Patricia Ann Godshalk

Patricia Ann Godshalk  (1932 –2021)

Patricia "Pat" Ann (Martinez) Godshalk passed away from complications caused by the coronavirus on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Pennsburg Manor in Pennsburg, Pa. She was 88 years old.

Born in Conshohocken on Dec. 30, 1932, she was the daughter of Sebastian Martinez and Catherine Nally-Martinez. She married Arthur Godshalk on Jan. 15, 1955, and together they had three children: sons David Godshalk (Jodi) and Dennis Godshalk (Tonette) and daughter Patricia Jeffrey (Joshua). Arthur preceded her in death on June 14, 2006, at age 77.

Patricia is survived by her three children; her three grandchildren, Adam Godshalk, Dutch Godshalk, and Emily Jeffrey; her two great-grandchildren, Adel Godshalk and Adam Godshalk Jr.; her brothers, Jack Martinez (Kimberly) and James Martinez; and her sister, Delores Maziarz (Frank). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her four siblings: brother Sebastian (Sonny) Martinez; brother Joseph Martinez; sister Kathryn Buscher; and sister Mary (Cookie) Blonsky. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ana Elizabeth Jeffrey. Patricia also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A longtime resident of West Conshohocken, Patricia retired from her career at Athena Controls more than 25 years ago. Along with her sister Cookie, she loved to sing with her brother Joseph’s band at family gatherings. Patricia also enjoyed spending time at the New Jersey and Delaware beaches.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any local chapter of the SPCA in honor of Patricia and Arthur’s late, beloved dog, Lucky.

Service and Interment is private.
