Obituary of Diana Joyce Young

Diana Joyce (Dixon) Young

 

Diana Joyce (Dixon) Young, 74, of Collegeville, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

 

Born in Philadelphia, Pa on January 3, 1947, the daughter of the late Richard Dixon and the late Helene (Porter) Dixon.

 

Diana (Joy) has been living with her daughter in Collegeville for the last 6 months, formerly of Belmont Hills, Pa.

 

She was a dance teacher for many years and owned and operated her own dance studio “Dancing with Joy” in Roxborough, PA. She was a long-time “coach and scorekeeper” for the Belmont Hills Fire Company Men’s' Softball Team.

 

Diana (Joy) worked as a Bookkeeper/Office Manager in the construction industry for 50+ years and took great pride in her work. She was also a former member of the National Association for Women in Construction (NAWIC).

 

A lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan, she loved Baseball and cheering on her beloved team.

 

Survivors include Daughter Hollye (& Brett) Wagner of Collegeville, Son Trevis (& Jerry Santangelo) Young of Belmont Hills, Sister Sandra Adams of King of Prussia, Brother Anthony Lepera (Karen) of Perkiomenville, also survived by her granddaughters Delaney and Savana Wagner, and her nephews, niece, great nephews and great nieces; and her lifelong friend Narita Clay.

 

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Richard Dixon.

 

Family and Friends can pay their respects on Saturday, July 24, 2021, receiving line from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, Service at 11:30 AM at The Church of St. John, 404 Levering Mill Road, Bala Cynwyd, PA.
