Obituary of Donald R. Geist, Sr.
Donald R. Geist, Sr., age 74, a longtime resident of Eagleville, PA passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 15, 1946, the son of the late Frederick Geist and the late Dorothy (McNamee) Talone.
Don has been a resident of Pottstown for three years, formerly of Eagleville and Skippack, PA. He was a member of Lansdale Life Church. Don was an avid sports fan, especially Philadelphia teams. He also enjoyed coaching soccer, camping and running.
He owned and operated a landscaping business.
Don honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Flourita M. (Ocon) Geist of Pottstown; his three sons, Donald R. Geist, Jr. of Royersford, Jeffrey W. Geist of Douglassville, and Gregory P. (& Jessica) Geist of Virginia; his daughter, Cynthia J. Geist of Schwenksville; his two step sons, Kent Jasper O. Pinili and Ritz Kaiser O. Pinili, both of Pottstown; his brother, Robin Geist of Norristown; as well as eight grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Caroline Jean Geist; and two brothers, Frederick Geist and Dennis Geist.
His Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Monday, August 9 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will follow the memorial service at 2:30 PM in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
