Dean was our treasured friend. He was caring, thoughtful, always willing to help. And what a great plumber and handyman he was. So trustworthy, reliable and honest.
They don't make very many "Dean's" these days. He is sorely missed and will always be remembered fondly in our hearts.

We will miss our dear neighbor Dean. Always a cheery greeting and a smile. His work ethic in bringing his home up to his standards was so admirable. His sense of humor lifted your spirits. A beautiful soul just entered heaven.

I remember Dean sharing his Navy days with my husband and myself. We found what he told us so intriguing. Dean had a very unique position in the Navy whereby his role was to get underneath an aircraft which was getting ready for takeoff from the navy ship. He told us he really liked what he was doing and accepted this responsibility honoring his part for the Navy. He was so brave taking on this role. We were so amazed by his dedication. This certainly represents the type of man Dean was. He will be greatly missed and loved. xoxox Love Ronnie

Dean was my plumbing savior, as well as my savior to everything else that was broken or needed repairing in my house. Anything I asked: “Could you refinish my bench? Sure Sandy… I can do it”. “Could you replace the Huge monsterous fence? Sure Sandy…I can do it”. I need the leak fixed now, Dean”. How about today, Sandy?” I only needed to ask, and he always said YES! The very 1st time he came to my house my little dog, Josie, greeted him at the door. If you could have seen his face. And the words that came out of his mouth: Hey there, Killer! We laughed! I am honored to have known Dean Rowland, and will never forget him. Rest In Peace, Dean.

Dean was a second dad to me. Over the years, we definitely had a lot of laughs together. Those of you who knew Dean knew that he had a wonderful sense of humor. One of my favorite memories of Dean was when we were living in Thorndale. Dean always liked to feed the birds wherever he lived. Out back we had a bird feeder that the squirrels loved to climb onto to eat the bird seed. The bird feeder was attached to a pole . Dean was so tired of the squirrels eating the bird seed that he came up with a plan to get them to stop. He greased up the pole. One morning while he and I were both getting our breakfast together before work we looked outside and sure enough a squirrel was on the ground looking up at the bird feeder. Both of us were mesmerized as we watched to see what would happen next. As expected, the squirrel jumped up to start climbing the pole. Dean and I started cracking up laughing as we both watched that squirrel slide right down the pole. That was one determined squirrel…he tried a couple more times and each time he just kept sliding right down. To this day, I never saw Dean laugh so hard. He couldn’t stop. Watching him laugh just made me laugh even harder. That memory will always stand out in my mind. Love you Dean. You will never be forgotten.

I first met Dean at a dance through PBSN (Professional Business Singles Network). I was on the dance floor, and he was sitting at a table with his son Michael staring at me. Suddenly the music selection changed, and a slow song came on next. Dean stood up and started walking towards me and asked me if I would have this dance with him. I said yes and was instantly impressed by how sweet and mannerly he was back then and how to this day he remained. He and I started our journey from that point on and it took off from there into a loving relationship followed by marriage. Dean was truly a "class act" and I couldn't have asked for a better husband. I will miss you each and every day and hold you close to my heart until we meet again.
