Obituary of Alfred E. Marosky

Alfred E. Marosky of Trappe, PA passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021.

 

He was born in Laurel Run Borough, Wilkes Barre, PA, the son of the late Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Schmidt) Marosky.

 

Al has lived in Trappe since 1964.  He was a devout Catholic and faithful parishioner of St. Eleanor RC Church.  He taught Catechism and CCD classes at St. Eleanor's, and served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, a Sacristan, and a Lector.  Al was also fluent in American Sign Language.  

 

He honorably served in the U.S. Army stationed in Korea during the Korean War.  

 

He was the loving husband of the late Barbara (Rosiak) Marosky.  

 

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (& Marc) Newman; son, Ed (& Mary) Marosky; daughter, Denise (& David) Hanlon;

and five grandchildren, Jason (Jody) Hanlon, Scott (Melissa) Hanlon, Liz (& Adam Pickersgill), Kate (Nick) Mercado and John Marosky.

 

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Marosky.  

 

His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM from St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.   

 

Entombment will take place in Limerick Garden of Memories.  

 

In keeping with his wishes, memorial contributions may be made in honor of his wife Barbara to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
