Anke Kaufhold  

Anke Kaufhold, 80, of Norristown, PA passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

She was born in Bremerhaven, Germany on October 3, 1941. The daughter of the late Walter and the late Anneliese (Müller) Kaufhold. Anke began her incredible journey from Germany to Norristown in 1957, where she has remained.

Anke’s most passionate calling was being a Mother. In addition to being a terrific Mom and Omi (aka ‘Cutes’), Anke had gifts of compassion and serving which were evident in her work as a Waitress with Danny's Diner, Mack’s for Snacks, Friendly’s, Cheers, and for 18 years she worked with the Jefferson House Restaurant. After Jefferson House closed, she worked as a Customer Service Manager with Plymouth Meeting Mall. Anke then entered retirement. She was a woman of many gifts and talents and enjoyed her home, gardening, decorating, crafting, thrifting, dining, traveling, using WhatsApp to stay in touch with her best friend, Sigrid in Germany, but above all, time spent with her family.

Survivors include her life partner of 36 years, Dewdney Reynolds of Norristown, Daughters, Christine (Michael) Pidcoe of Norristown, Tiffany M. (Peter) Balcer of Cedar Heights, a Son, W. Kenneth Fields (Jo Marie) of Conshohocken and her beloved granddaughter, Chloe Balcer. Anke will be greatly missed by her family.

Along with her parents, Anke was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Ann.

Her service and interment will be private.
