Obituary of Laurence R. Aronson

Laurence R. Aronson, age 78, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 after a brief illness. 

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 4, 1944, the son of the late George and Ruth (Kass) Aronson. 

Larry, a graduate of Brooklyn College with a degree in Economics, lived in Queens NY and Westchester, PA before moving to Collegeville, where he has resided for 33 years.  He loved good music, especially classical and jazz.  He was an ardent horse racing fan and loved playing golf and tennis.  He enjoyed theater and concerts.  Larry was determined to, despite his age, always stay relevant from his glasses to his sneakers.   

He had a long career as a ​commissioned Salesperson for Bloomingdale’s Furniture in King of Prussia, PA.  He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.   

Larry is survived by his wife, Margot (Sachey) Aronson; 

daughter, Lesley Aronson Shade (and her husband David Shade);  

son, Steven Aronson (and his wife Carolyn Robinson Aronson);  

and two grandchildren, Morgan and Michael Aronson.   

Along with his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Aronson and Judith Aronson.   

The family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
