Obituary of Raymond H. LaPenta

Raymond H. LaPenta, 92, of Lansdale, PA passed away on May 24, 2016 . He was born in Conshohocken, PA on May 17, 1924. Ray has been living at Brittany Point Estates for over 17 years, formerly of Conshohocken, Pa. He was a member of Corpus Christi RC Church of Lansdale, Pa and a former member of SS. Cosmas & Damian RC Church of Conshohocken, Pa. He graduated from Conshohocken High School Class of 1941. He served in the US Army during World War II. He started his own business, Ray's Appliances and ran his business until he retired in 1986. He was active with his church and the Conshohocken Plymouth Whitemarsh Rotary Club. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Son of the late John & Mary ( DiCiurcio ) LaPenta Beloved husband of the late Geraldine "Gerry" (Spellane ) LaPenta Survivors include his Son: Christian (& Sue) LaPenta Plymouth Meeting PA Daughter: Mary Ann (& Jim) Gano York PA Daughter: Eileen LaPenta And Her Wife Whitney Kotzman Chestnut Hill, PA Grandson: Patrick (& Sarah) Gano Philadelphia PA Granddaughter: Alanna (& Shane) Martin Bel Air MD Grandson: Eric Gano Philadelphia PA Grandson: Chris LaPenta Conshohocken PA Grandson: Ryan LaPenta Conshohocken PA Granddaughter: Lauren (& Dan) Gordon Conshohocken PA And a Great Grandson: James Gano Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister Dolores LaPenta and Brother John R. LaPenta. There will be a time for family and friends to gather on Wednesday Evening form 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa 19428. His Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the Corpus Christi RC Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, Pa 19446. Family will greet relatives and friends following the Mass. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, Pa.
