Obituary of Frances L. Balkiewicz

Frances L. Balkiewicz, 94, of Collegeville, PA passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Phoenixville Hospital. 

She was born in Conshohocken on January 29, 1928, a daughter of the late Waclaw and the late Frances (Mrovek) Balkiewicz. 

Miss Balkiewicz graduated from Conshohocken High School.  She owned and operated Blakey's Store in Conshohocken for many years. She was currently a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Royersford and enjoyed gardening and reading her Bible every day.

Miss Balkiewicz was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard (Eleanor) Blake, William Baliewicz; sisters; Lillian (Dan) O'Connor, Mary Balkiewicz, and Florence (Warren) Fogg, and nephew, Billy Balkiewicz.  

She is survived by her nieces, Mary Ann (Gerry) Daly, with whom she resided, Elaine (the late Ed) Williamson, Frances (Carmen, Jr.) Colicino, and Becky Balkiewicz;

nephews, Walter (Kenda) Balkiewicz, Wayne (Maureen) Balkiewicz, Dennis (Andrea)

Balkiewicz, Kenny (Joanne) O’Connor, Lenny (Joanne) Blake;

grand nieces, Nikki (Matt) Greene, Jennifer (Todd) Stankiewicz, Krista Balkiewicz, Brook Balkiewicz, Sarah Balkiewicz, Catherine Balkiewicz, Phoebe Balkiewicz, Ana Balkiewicz, Carle (Wes) Cottone, Shannon O’Connor, Erin (Eric) Myers and Meghan (Zach) Hoffman;

grand nephews, Walter (Rory) Palac, Walter Balkiewicz, Jr., Carmen Colicino, III, Salvatore Colicino, Dennis Balkiewicz, Jr., Michael (Stephanie) Cottone, Andrew Daly, Timothy (Marti) Daly, and Matthew (Lianne) Daly. 

She is also survived by her sister in-law, Peg Balkiewicz

Her Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM from Sacred Heart Church, 838 Walnut Street, Royersford, PA.  Officiating will be Father Tadeusz Gorka.

Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
