Obituary of Tony Sharkoski

Anthony L. “Tony” Sharkoski, age 76, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery.  

 

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on January 21, 1947, the son of the late Lester H. And Mary D. (Lyons) Sharkoski.  

 

Tony has been living in Collegeville since 2001, formerly of Bensalem and Levittown, PA.  He was a parishioner of St. Eleanor RC Church of Collegeville. Tony was a 50-year member of Operating Engineers Local 542. He coached baseball for nearly 20 years at the Valley Athletic Association in Bensalem. After coaching, he became an avid golfer and proud Penn State

Football season ticket holder.

 

He honorably served in the U.S. Army for three years, including as a combat engineer in Vietnam,1967 - 1968.

 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betsy Sharkoski (née Mongrandi) of Collegeville; son, Chris (Ellen) Sharkoski of Coatesville, PA; two brothers, Tom (Shari) Sharkoski and Larry Sharkoski, both of Levittown; and two grandchildren, Ava and Connor.  

 

His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:30 AM from St. Eleanor RC Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA 19426.  Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday morning from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Church.  

 

Interment will take place at a later date in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
