Having Dee as a very dear friend, my mom’s years at Shannondell were wonderful. I was fortunate to spend many days with Dee and my mom when I visited, and she quickly became a dear friend of mine also. Whether it was dinners, playing games, going out to dinner, sharing New Year’s Eve, wonderful conversations and sharing the memories of our lives . . .all made mom’s time and their friendship a very special time. Dee always sought new residents to make them feel welcome and to include them in the community. She was an ambassador for Shannondell and for showing us how to keep moving forward in life.
