Obituary of Sandella A. Lapps

Sandella A. Lapps, "Dell", age 93, of Audubon, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, March 18, 2023. 

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Garguile) Palermo. 

Dell was raised in South Philadelphia and lived in Chester Springs before moving to Audubon, PA, in 1972. She lived her final years at Providence Place at the Collegeville Inn.  She graduated from The Philadelphia High School for Girls (“Girls High”) in 1948 and was a faithful Christian and member of the former True North Church of Trappe. Dell was a Client Counselor for over 20 years at the Genesis Pregnancy Care Center of Pottstown. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, was an avid reader, and gave much of her time volunteering and especially loved spending time with her family.  

She was the wife of the late George A. Lapps. 

Dell is survived by a son, Jonathan (Janet) Lapps of Mason, OH; and three daughters, Andrea (Vince) Burke of Exton, PA, Stephanie (Doug) Miller of Harleysville, PA, and Alane (Ray) Kidwell of Gilbertsville, PA.    

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Rachel (Bobby), Jonathan, Ben (Phoebe), Kayleigh, Brandon, Jessica, Luke (fiancé KC), Emily, Andrew, Jason (Claire), Larissa (Christian), Lea, Matthew and five great grandchildren, Ava, Noah, Charlotte, Penelope, Amira. 

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph A. Palermo.   

Dell’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Calvary Chapel Chester Springs, 217 Dowlin Forge Road, Exton, PA, where her Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steven Dorr officiating.

A reception will follow at the church. 

Interment in Limerick Garden of Memories will be private for the immediate family.
