Obituary of Barbara W. Cressman

Cressman, Barbara W., PA, beloved wife of Wilmer D. Cressman, III.  Born January 27, 1935 in Ridley Park, PA, called to the Lord on May 5, 2023.

Daughter of Cyrus L. and Mary K. Wagner.

Predeceased by son John; survived by her husband Wilmer, son Andrew and his wife Laura, grandsons David and Keith, sister Molly and her husband Richard Shoulberg, and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a graduate of Norristown High School (Class of 1952) and Ursinus College, majoring in English with a teaching degree; she was a substitute teacher for many years in the Norristown Area School District. Completed accounting courses at Montgomery County Community College and started a tax accounting business in 1982, which she ran until 2021; she also was the accountant for the Walsh & Associates law firm located in Blue Bell, PA.

Barbara loved being with her family and long-time friends. She was an avid reader, a frequent patron of the area theaters, and a very accomplished duplicate bridge player.

Barbara was a member of the Norristown Jaycettes, Trinity Lutheran Church of Fairview Village (formerly of Norristown), the Norristown Garden Club, and the Militia Hill Questers.

Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM from Trinity Lutheran Church, 1190 Valley Forge Road, Fairview Village, PA  19409.

Friends may call on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.

Interment will be private in Valley Forge Gardens Cemetery of King of Prussia, Pa.
