Obituary of Daniel S. Hood, Jr.

Daniel S. Hood, Jr.  

 

Daniel S. Hood Jr., 37, of Norristown, PA, unexpectedly passed away Friday, June 30, 2023.  

He was born in Wynnewood, PA on November 27, 1985 and lived in Norristown all of his life. Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents Harold & AnnaMarie Harrison, James & Monica Hood, and father Daniel S. Hood Sr.  

Survivors include Mother Barbara (Harrison) Hood of Norristown, Sister Lauren (& Josh) Wernick of Horsham, Sister Melissa (& Anthony) Petrillo of Royersford, Sister Jenny (& Dan) Agee of Schwenksville, Sister Brenna Hood of Royersford, he is also survived by two Nephews Shane and Dylan.

Danny was the oldest of five siblings who have fond memories of their time growing up together and how protective he was as an older brother. He attended Visitation B.V.M. and graduated from Kennedy Kenrick High School where he played soccer.

Danny attended the Universal Technical Institute and had a career as a skilled mechanic. He was always ready and willing to help friends and family with car issues.
 

He was a huge Philly sports fan and loved being able to celebrate the Eagles Super Bowl win with his sisters and friends in the city. He was a friend to many, including a large group of friends that he had known for decades.
 
Danny’s humor and wit was unmatched and he could light up every room he was in. He had a genuine smile and a good heart. He was loved immensely by his family and many friends and will be deeply missed. 
 
His Memorial Mass will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM from Visitation B.V.M. RC Church, 196 North Trooper Road, Norristown, PA.

Friends may call on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.
Interment will be private.
