Obituary of June A. Schinnagel

June A. Schinnagel

June A. (Conforti) Schinnagel of Jeffersonville entered eternal life on Sunday, July 23, 2023.  June was the daughter of the late Victor Joseph (VJ) and Julette (Madigan) Conforti.

June resided in Jeffersonville for most of her life, and also spent time in her home in Maryland.  She enjoyed spending time by the water.

June was a strong and independent woman.  She was always determined and passionate.  She played the cards she was dealt in the game of life, and she met challenges with dignity and grace.  Her joy for life and indomitable spirit pushed her through life’s most difficult obstacles.

She began her career in the world of fashion, working as a buyer at a major department store.  She exhibited her sense of style and beauty throughout her life.  June later became a realtor.  She loved meeting people and helping them select their future homes.  She maintained relationships with her clients and enjoyed many referrals.  She went on to be honored with the Leading Edge and President’s Club awards for her accomplishments in her field.

June was a dedicated mother who provided support and love to her three daughters. She loved her role as Nana to her grandchildren.  She was very personable and made friends everywhere.  She will be missed and will be remembered forever.

As a passionate animal lover, June considered her pets to be members of her family.  She shared her home with many cats over the years and she loved them dearly.  She enjoyed feeding the wildlife and birds that visited her property.

She is survived by her three daughters, Judith (Chris) Newton of West Haven, CT, Leigh Barnes of Orange, CT, Pamela Morris of Eagleville, as well as grandchildren Julia Doherty, Laura (Peter) Fata, and Amanda Morris.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Gavin, Charlotte, Juliette, and Genevieve as well as former husband Henry Schinnagel.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her partner William Novak, her beloved brothers Jack and Richard Conforti, beloved sister Marjorie McKenna and son-in-law John Morris.

A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:30am at Visitation B.V.M. Roman Catholic Church, 196 North Trooper Road, Norristown, PA.

There will be a viewing where Friends may call on Saturday, July 29 from 9:30-10:15am, at the church.

Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Lung Association, PO Box 756, Osceola, WI 54020-0756.
