Frederick W. Lukens, Jr.  

Frederick W. Lukens, Jr., 74, of Norristown, PA passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023. 

He was born in Norristown, Pa on April 18, 1949, the son of the late Frederick William and the late Isabell C. (Rinker) Lukens, Sr..

Fred has been living in Lower Providence section of Norristown for over 20 years, formerly of Conshohocken, Pa.

He graduated from Conshohocken High School.

He served during Vietnam war in the Marine Corps, where he recieved the National Defense Service Medal, Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnamese Service Medal with 2 Stars, Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnamese Campaign Medal with Device, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm Device, Letter of Appreciation and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was a member of Conshohocken V. F. W. # 1074 and the Marine Corp League Valley Forge Detachment.

Fred worked with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

Survivors include Son Christopher (& Cheryl) Lukens of Philadelphia, Sister Patricia L. Lukens of Conshohocken, and his Grand Daughter Jeninne Lukens.

His Service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:30 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.

With Pastor Dwight Young officiating.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. 

Interment will take place in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
