Dr. Robert C. Moe

Dr. Robert “Bob” Clarence Moe, 87, of Harleysville, PA, passed away on 4 November 2023 in Harleysville.

Dr. Moe was born in San Diego, California to Clarence Oscar Moe and Mona “Bonnie” Ruth Moe on 2 September 1936. He was a graduate of the University of Missouri at the Kansas City School of Dentistry as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (1967), George Washington University with a Post Doctoral Masters of Science (1974), Southern Illinois University as a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education (1980) and the University of California at Los Angeles with a Post Doctoral Masters in Public Health (1981).

From June 1967 to September 1981, Dr. Moe served in the US Navy starting as a Clinic Director for the Naval Training Center in San Diego. His final post with the Navy was as Command Consultant of Preventative Dentistry at the Naval Station in San Diego. His rank was that of Captain.

In 1981, Dr. Moe began his second career as an instructor of Biology, the Dental Assistants Review, and Preventative Dentistry for Officers and Technicians. As well, he worked with recovery and identification teams across the US acting as a Forensic Dentist at sites of airplane crashes and disasters. He was an avid ornithologist, an exacting carver of wooden birds, and a long-time stamp collector.

Dr. Moe is survived by his wife, Carolyn Carr Moe of Harleysville, PA, sister Constance Earls née Moe of Chula Vista, CA, daughter Katherine Nyborg née Moe of Seattle, WA, step-son Steven Moe of Escondido, CA, son John Moe of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and step-daughter Cynthia D’errico née Moe of Hampton, NJ. He is preceded in death by his twin, William Chesney Moe, and brother James Thomas Moe.

No services will be held at Dr. Moe’s request.
