To the entire Ford family:
First, I/we are very sorry to hear of your Pop's passing. The last time I saw your Pop was at the service for your Nan. I hadn't seen him for quite some time. I approached him to offer condolences and, hopefully, brighten his day just a little. I wasn't sure he would remember me. Well, remember me he did, and he recalled a time or two where we had shared a laugh. We also talked about a LaSalle/Loyola Marymount game we had seen together (along with Bill and Neil, if I recall correctly) at the old Convention Center in Philly some 30-odd years ago.
So, yes, I had hoped to brighten his day but darn if he didn't go and turn the tables on me by brightening mine. As I read through Bill's thoughts, it occurs to me that none of you would be surprised that he would have had that impact on me, even on that day.
I am sure your many memories of him will keep him very much alive in each of you.
