Ed was our neighbor!! He was a great friend to all of us. We really enjoyed seeing him all the time heading out or coming home...him and Betty or just him by himself.. They always went everywhere. But as he grew old life got harder unfortunately God bless.our fan all new Ed.,. ..e all miss He will deff already is missed

He was a great man that will never be forgotten!! Everyone one that met him throughout his lifetime is truly blessed to have known him!! We have many childhood memories of him being an amazing Uncle!! Reunited with my Mom(his twin sister) after 30 years. We have two special Angels watching over all of us.

Ed was a great guy and Chief of Police when I worked as a police officer for the township. I always admired and respected him for his fairness, honesty, integrity and faith in God. It was under his command that I learned the true value of serving the public and how to treat others with dignity and respect.He always had our best interest in mind. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. God bless him and the great example he was to us.

Ed was a part of my life (Debbie Custer Tyson) for about 54 years and was always there when I needed him. Bob and Ed talked about all the golf outings they had together and the stunts they pulled, which they laughed a lot!!! Bob and I visited him when he was in intensive care at Phoenixville hospital and also when he was transferred to the VA hospital in Topton. Ed, Bob and I reminisced all the good times we had, "what a memory Ed had". I am glad that I was there to share them, we laughed a lot. Bob went up to see him on the day he passed and it was quite emotional for him and with all the family. Ed will be missed, and now he is with the Angels and in no more pain. Our condolences and prayers go out to all the family. Love and prayers, Debbie and Bob Tyson

I wish I could have given Ed a final "Thank You" in person or over the phone for all those years of public service. Kim and I wish to send our sympathy and condolences to the entire family. I will never forget all the years I worked along side and under Ed's leadership. I was proud to call him Chief McDade. Thank you, Ken Duelley, Lower Providence Police Department, 1984-2012.
