Gertrude Baranowski of Plymouth Meeting, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Towne Manor East in Norristown.




She was the wife of the late Anthony M. Baranowski, Sr.




Mrs. Baranowski was born on October 22, 1928 in Conshohocken, a daughter of the late Stanley Twaragoski and the late Helen (Nosek) Twaragoski.




She was preceded in death by her sons, Anthony M. Baranowski, Jr. and Michael A. Baranowski, and by two sisters, Stella Ritter and Catherine Ruggiero.




Mrs. Baranowski is survived by her very good friend and niece, Mary Helen Welsh (Matthew) of Lafayette Hill and by many nieces and nephews and her daughter-in-law Wilma.




Mrs. Baranowski graduated from St. Mary's grade school and Conshohocken High School, Class of 1946.




She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Eugene Katz and, later, in the credit department of the Fashion Bug retail store.




She was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Conshohocken where she participated in their Golden Age Club. She was also a member of the Young at Heart Senior Club. She served as the past treasurer of the Junior Women's Club of Conshohocken where she was a winner of their sewing contest. In addition, she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the founder of the Women's Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council 7565 of East Norriton.




Mrs. Baranowksi's Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 219 Fayete St. Conshohocken, Pa. 19428.




Friends may call at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM.




Interment will follow in St. Benedict's Cemetery, Colwell Lane, Conshohocken, PA
