Obituary of Sally J. Kenney
Sally J. Kenney 10/12/1934 – 04/10/2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of beloved Mother, Grandma and friend, Sally (Sarah) Kenney who died peacefully in her sleep the evening of April 10th at her home in Phoenixville, PA at the age of 89 or as Sally would say "in her 90th year."
Proceeded in death by her loving husband, the good doctor, John D. Kenney and son Michael Kenney. Sally is survived by her daughter, Mary (Bucher) and sons John, Daniel (Rachel) and Brian (Abbey). The apples of Sally's eyes were truly her grandchildren, Sarah Chadwell (John), Sean Kenney, Andrew Kenney, Brynn Kenney, Reagan Kenney, Kellan Driscoll and Kate Driscoll. Sally looked forward to every call and visit with her grandchildren and loved hearing about, as well as weighing in on, all aspects of their lives. They were her pride and joy.
Known for her unapologetic strong will, love of reading and, of course, a good glass of wine, Sally touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sally's love for her children, grandchildren and friends knew no bounds and her legacy of love, resilience, and tenacity for life will forever inspire us. Though she may be gone, her memory will continue to fill our hearts with warmth and gratitude. Rest peacefully Grandma Sally and tell Dad and Mike we said hi.
Per Sally's wishes, her memorial service and interment will be private for immediate family only.
