Obituary of Dr. Robert P. Morris

Dr. Robert P. Morris 83, of Plymouth Meeting, PA, passed away on September 8, 2016. He was born in Brighton, Massachusetts, on January 22, 1933 to the late Josephine Grigas and George Morris. Bob was a resident of Plymouth Meeting for more than 50 years. He was raised in Dorchester MA. Bob was accepted to Harvard University at age 16 and graduated at age 20. He then earned his P.H. D. and went on to practice as a psychologist for the Philadelphia state hospital and then into private practice in Collegeville and Pottstown. Bob was a member of the Mainliners Barbershop chorus. He enjoyed his work, golf singing and monthly poker games. Bob was married to Patricia M. (Williams) Morris form 1955 to 1984. Survivors include his two sons Wayne Morris of King of Prussia, Steven Morris and his wife Janine Morris of Pottstown; son in law Bill Carrol of Ft. Myers, Fl; two sisters, Mary Begin and Cynthia Morris; brother, George Morris of NC; five grandchildren Veronica, Cody , Christopher, Randy and Courtney; and eight (soon to be nine) great grandchildren, Gia, Savanna, Rylan, Vaeda, Sage, Cassidy, Jacob and Colton. In addition to his ex-wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Carrol and sister Gloria Murphy. His memorial service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Moore, Snear and Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St. Trappe, PA 19426. Friends may call on Friday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to ALZ.org.
