Obituary of Lois A. Hierdahl

 

Lois A. ( Graham ) Hierdahl, 86, of West Norriton, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024.  She was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on February 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Wilbur L. and the late Ada (Sowers) Graham.

 

Lois was raised in Conshohocken with her twin sister, the late Nancy M. Biehl. She was a graduate of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Beaver College (Arcadia University).

 

She began her career as a Social Worker at the Norristown State Hospital before leaving to raise a family. Later in life, Lois embarked on a second career with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, where she taught life skills to special needs students. 

 

Lois was a very active member of Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder for over 40 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, going to the beach, swimming at her pool and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

She was the wife of Charles L. Hierdahl and would have celebrated 57 years of marriage in October.

 

Lois is survived by her Husband Charles L. Hierdahl of West Norriton, Son Charles (& Eileen) Hierdahl of West Chester, Daughter Pamela (& Gustavo) Salguero of Lower Providence, and her Grandchildren Grace Hierdahl & Alexander Salguero.

 

Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church, 1921 W. Main Street, Norristown, PA.

 

Internment will be at a later date in Westminster Cemetery.
