Obituary of Maureen T. Clemens

Maureen T. Clemens, age 69, of East Norriton, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 18, 1955, the daughter of the late William and Jeanne (LaSalle) Johnson.

Maureen has lived in East Norriton since 1998, formerly of the Frankford section of Philadelphia.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. Paul’s RC Church.  She had a 50+ year career as a Registered Nurse at Temple University Hospital, where she dedicated herself to the care of others.  She also volunteered for Catholic Social Services and Philabundance. 

She was the wife of the late James W. Clemens. 

She is survived by her son, James A. Clemens of East Norriton; step daughter, Adrienne (Brian) McGinn of Ridley Park, PA; brother, William Johnson of Eagleville, PA; and two sisters, Janice Longo of Philadelphia, PA and Karen Kirch of Pennsauken, NJ.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Luna Marie, Aiden and Liam, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by Michele Johnson, Monica Schive and Edward Johnson. 

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM from St. Paul's RC Church, 2007 New Hope Street, Norristown, PA 19401.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday evening, August 8 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA and on Friday morning from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at St. Paul's RC Church.   

Interment will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.
