This picture sums up what kind of person, and neighbor, Mr. Shaffer was. I used to pet sit for.him whenever he needed and his trust in me at 11 years old really gave me the self confidence I needed. He was always smiling and always so friendly, and I can only hope to have a neighbor even half as incredible as him.

Ed was an amazing neighbor to have growing up. Always the life of the party on Narwyn Lane! He taught me to change tires and check the engine oil well before I could drive. He was always listening to music and tinkering in the driveway. He made sure I knew all the great rock n roll legends and would quiz me on them regularly. I have many fond memories of summer swimming trips and drives in the MG. Thanks for all the memories! RIP, Pee Wee.

I loved Ed. It was truly an honor to have known Ed. He was a great person, mentor & above all dear friend. Ed always was interested in other people's lives & cared immensely about everyone. He was a man who went above & beyond to show his abounding love, generosity & genuine interest in his rich group of family, friends, & the many who came into his path. His vibrancy & humor brightened so many lives & the lessons he taught us about life will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to the family, may he rest in peace. Love always, David Alten

Mike,Julie Mathew and Jenna My condolences and prayers. Uncle Ed meant so much to me and my family, so many good times and laughs. Uncle Ed was always there for me to talk listen and gave good advice. He helped me believe in myself. Hay Homie will always live in my mind as this is how we always greeted each other.
