Obituary of Joseph R. George

Joseph R. George  

 

Joseph R. George, 84, of Collegeville, PA passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 14, 2024. 

He was born in Wilmore, Pa on June 29, 1940,  He was the son of the late Ralph and the late Mary (Novotny) George.

Joe has been living in Collegeville, Pa for the last 10 years, formerly of Pottstown and Portage, Pa where he grew up.

He was owner of Joe's hy-way transmission, president of the Orioles club in Pottstown Pa, Joe was also a Truck Driver for a family business.

Joe enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing spending summers on his boat in Delaware with his friends and family, he also loved to go camping in his redone by him campers. Joe had a love for cars especially Hot Rods his favorite being his crown Victoria! He enjoyed dancing and making people laugh. Joe was a man of all trades, Always there to give a helping hand, even the shirt off his back, He had a huge heart, Joe was the best husband, brother, father, grandfather to 19, great grandfather to 20.  He loved his family more than anything, The loss of Joe will forever be felt by all that knew him. 

He was the loving husband of Gloria (Myers) George.

Survived by his loving family, Wife Gloria George of Collegeville, Daughter Kathleen (& James) Kenney of Collegeville, Son Joseph (Mary) George of Pottstown, Daughter Darlene (Brian Koch) Noll of Bethlehem, Son Shann (Francine) George of Morgantown, Son Ralph (Kelly) George of Warnersville,  Step Daughter Jolyn (Dan) Wade of Leesport, Step Daughter Kelly (Gary) Dunkleberger of Schillington, Step Son Timothy Kerling of Leesport, also his Sister Patti Prebish of Cresson, as well as many niece's and nephews.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his Grandson Colin George.

His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 10:30 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA.

Friends may call on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
