Obituary of Leroy M. Gane

Leroy M. Gane, age 90, of Wilmington, DE passed away on March 11th, 2019.  

He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on July 26, 1928, the son of the late Robert J. Gane, Sr. and Sarah A. Gane. 

Leory has been living in Wilmington for 42 years and formerly lived in Bryn Mawr, PA.  He was a race car enthusiast and also served as Roger Penske’s Head Crew Chief.  Leroy had a long career as a Vintage Car Mechanic for PhilPenn Jaguar  Imported Car Co. of Bryn Mawr.  Most of all, Leroy was a devoted family man.    

Survivors include his wife, Teresa A. Gane 

Four children, Anna M. Gane & William Hibbert of Wilmington, DE,

Leroy & Kim Gane of Nottingham, MD,

Melissa S. & Dale Henderson  of Salina, KS,

and Evan S. Gane of Wilmington, DE;

three siblings, Jim Gane, Helen Gane and Mary Kelly;

eight grandchildren, Tyler, Damon, Zachary,  Natalie Nathan , Marlana , Shannon, and Aaron 

as well as many nieces and nephews.                    

Along with his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Gane.  

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday, March 15th from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428, followed by the Funeral Service at 12 Noon.
