To George's family: Christopher and I first lived in the same cluster as George and Lois at Sea Pines. Then we moved to the other side of the parking lot. We continued to enjoy his (their) company for many years and had him over for dinners on our deck. George once took Chris out on his sailboat and took me to his garden in Brewster.
My favorite memories of George were of times when he and I sat out on his patio alone together and chatted about books we were both enjoying. We were both avid readers. It was like having an extra beloved grandfather, as mine had both died when I was young.
We're sorry for your loss. Please know that many people at Sea Pines are thinking of you all and sharing fond memories of George.
